About Dronagiri Parvat

In Ramayana at Ram – Ravan war in Srilanka, Lakshmana was shot by the arrow of Indrajit, son of Ravan. It was almost impossible for Lakshmana to become alive. Bibhishana then called Sushena Vaidya i.e. doctor from Srilanka. Sushena told that only Sanjivani bush can help to save the life of Lakshmana. He added that the Sanjivani bush is available only at the mountains of Himalaya named Dronagiri. Then Hanumana flied to Himalayas and took part of Dronagirimountain and came back to Srilanka and thus saved the life of Lakshmana. The Dronagiri Mountain in Himalayas is in Neetivally. It is ahead of Joshimath and ancient KailashMansarovar Tibet route was going from this place. Dronagiri Mountain is still having huge number of medicinal plants. The NandaKund i.e. Nanda lake is full of medicinal water. We take a bath in this water and trek around the mountain. The new vally of flower is nearby Nanda Kund. We also visit new Amarnath near Gamshali in NeetiVally.
