About Panch Kedar

Kedarnath is a well-known pilgrim of Himalaya. It is one of the place of chardhamyatra. Uttarakhand was known as Kedarkhand in past. In Himalayas, KedarnathYatra is believed to be completed only when PanchKedarYatra i.e. Five Kedarnath Temple yatras are completed. PanchKedar temples are built by Pandavas. These five Kedarnath temples are as below. We take part of Lord Shankara body in these pilgrimages.

1) Rudranath - Face                          2) Tungnath - Hands                       3) Kalpeshwarnath – Head

4) Madmaheshwarnath - Stomach   5) Kedarnath – Back

The PanchKedardarshan stands for a complete darshan of Lord Shankara. The panchKedar Temples are located in dense forest and we need to trek to darshan these temples. Horse ride i.e. pony is available for PanchKedarYatra.

PanchKedarYatra is 16 Days from Haridwar to Haridwar
